You may have noticed fewer Fine Print updates from me recently. That’s because I’ve been putting my energy into expanding the resources on my website—tools I believe families, educators, and teams need right now as stress and overwhelm continue to rise.
The video I’m sharing today, Mindfulness and Meditation with Young People, is part of that effort. It offers a practical, accessible mindfulness and movement practice designed to help the body slow down when emotions run high.
This practice isn’t about fixing behavior or forcing calm. It’s about supporting regulation—giving young people (and the adults who support them) a way to pause, notice what’s happening in the body, and reset when things feel overwhelming.
The strategies shared here can be used at home, in classrooms, in athletic settings, or anywhere big emotions make it hard to slow down and regroup.
